Cellulite is the bane of most women’s (and some men’s) lives and can really feel unsolvable. For most of us, we either cover up or learn to be proud of our skin with all its lumps and bumps, though let’s face it: we all know we’d prefer it not to be there!
The dimpled appearance of our skin is said to be caused by an imbalance in the connective tissue and fat in the body. Why it happens, nobody really knows, however, it is linked to unhealthy eating, being overweight and lack of exercise. But we all know a skinny, healthy, active kid who has it too, so sometimes these reasons can go right out of the window.
A quick scan of the internet reveals a multitude of natural remedies, however below are two natural remedies which make sense to us here at Planetfem and we think just might be worth a try, especially with summer coming!
1. Dry Brushing
Check out our latest article on how to dry brush. Not only does it slough away dry skin on but it also promotes tighter skin, cell renewal and blood flow which all help the lymphatic system do its job releasing toxins, which in turn help your kidneys and digestive system. And in turn give you glowing, healthy skin!
- supports skin, hair and nail growth
- Can help tighten loose skin (like the kind you get after having four babies in five years…)
- can help improve cellulite
- Great source of dietary collagen. As collagen is too large to be absorbed by the skin, those creams have been conning us for too long! Ingest it instead to get the benefit.
As with all natural remedies, make sure you check with your GP or health practitioner first.
